DTF (Direct to Film) Transfer
DTF, or Direct to Film, is a versatile printing method that allows detailed, full-color designs to be applied directly to apparel with a smooth, flexible finish. Designs are printed onto a special film and then heat-pressed onto the garment, resulting in vibrant color and crisp detail.
DTF is a great option when your design includes:
Multiple colors or gradients
Fine lines or detailed artwork
Bold graphics or illustrations
Larger designs or full-front prints
This method works well on a wide range of fabrics and garment colors, making it especially popular for team apparel, school groups, events, and creative designs that need to stand out. The finished print moves naturally with the fabric and is made to hold up through regular wear and washing.
If embroidery feels too structured or textured for your design, DTF offers a smooth, modern alternative that lets artwork shine while still feeling comfortable and wearable.

Stickers
Stickers
Stickers are a fun, easy way to bring your designs to life beyond apparel. They’re perfect for adding personality, sharing a message, or showing pride in a team, group, or brand.
Whether bold and eye-catching or clean and minimal, stickers from Rise Above Apparel are designed to feel intentional and easy to love. They’re great on water bottles, laptops, notebooks, instrument cases, packaging, and anywhere you want a little extra character.
A small detail that makes a big statement.
Great for: water bottles, laptops, notebooks, instrument cases, packaging, and more.

Embroidery
Why Choose Embroidery?
Each stitched design adds depth, texture, and quiet detail that you can see and feel. Unlike printed designs, embroidery becomes part of the fabric itself, creating a sense of permanence and care that elevates your apparel in a subtle, meaningful way.
There’s something grounding about embroidery — the way thread moves with the fabric, the way light catches the stitches, the way a design feels thoughtfully placed instead of simply applied. It carries a sense of craftsmanship and pride that works beautifully for school groups, teams, businesses, and personal pieces alike.
Each embroidery design is carefully digitized and stitched with attention to detail to ensure clean lines, strong definition, and a polished final result. I work closely with you to select thread colors, placement, and sizing so your design looks intentional and well balanced on every piece.
If you’re looking for apparel that feels refined, enduring, and thoughtfully made, embroidery offers a quiet confidence that speaks without needing to shout.

Sublimation
Sublimation is a digital printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer dye directly into the surface of a product. Instead of sitting on top, the ink becomes part of the material itself — resulting in vibrant color with no heavy or raised feel.
This process works best on high-percentage polyester fabrics and light-colored materials, as sublimation does not print white ink. Any white areas in a design will show through as the color of the item underneath. Because of this, sublimation is often used on light apparel or creatively paired with techniques like bleach patterns to allow white details to shine.
When white details are needed on darker materials, special methods can be used — such as sublimation-compatible vinyl or glitter HTV — which adds materials and time to the process and may increase cost. I’ll always walk through options with you to find the best solution for your design.
Sublimation is a favorite technique for:
Apparel that needs to feel lightweight and breathable
Bright, detailed, full-color designs
Items meant to be worn or used often
Tumblers, mugs, keychains, and other sublimation-friendly products
Because the dye bonds permanently with the material, sublimated designs won’t crack, peel, or fade, and they typically outlast traditional vinyl applications. It’s a beautiful option when you want bold color, fine detail, and a soft, effortless finish.

Heat Transfer Vinyl
Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
Heat Transfer Vinyl, or HTV, is a specialty vinyl designed for use on apparel and other fabric-based items. Designs are created using design software and cut into vinyl with a cutting machine. The excess vinyl is then carefully removed by hand to reveal the design, which is heat-pressed onto the material.
This process can be more hands-on and time-intensive than sublimation or embroidery, but that’s also part of what makes it special. Each piece involves thoughtful preparation, precision, and care from start to finish.
What I love most about HTV is the variety. There are so many fun and creative options to work with, including:
Glitter
Metallic
Reflective
Shiny or matte finishes
Glow-in-the-dark
UV color-changing
Puff
These specialty finishes allow for playful, eye-catching designs and textures you simply can’t achieve with other methods. But also can limit some of the blending of unique colors.
HTV works best for designs that are more simple and not overly color-heavy, making it a great option for names, numbers, bold graphics, and statement accents.
HTV is where my apparel creation journey began. It’s a versatile, creative option when you want something fun, bold, and can be full of personality.
